NEW ZEALAND

I lived in New Zealand for over four years. It is a beautiful country and only 4 million people live in an area not much less than the UK. It is made up of of two separate islands, cunningly called the North Island and the South Island. During my stay I took a 12 week trip through both islands.

Rotorua has bubbling springs, a none too pleasant smell from the sulphur and a lamdscape of myriad colours. The Treaty ground at Waitangi is an iconic place while the north east coast of the South Island can be rough.
