AUSTRALIA

I first went to Australia in 2003 having been thinking about it since 1966. I spent 3 months there in and around Bondi and taking a trip inland up as far as Emerald in Queensland and then returning down the coast from Rockhampton. I travelled back in time through Byron Bay but didn't have a camera good enough, by my standards, for any uploadable photos. I returned for eleven months in March 2004 and after a couple of weeks in Melbourne flew west to Perth and Fremantle and stayed there.

To buy a print, note the reference number and click on the link at the foot of this page. Obviously you will receive the print without the copyright watermark which appears on these pages.

Prints are available in the standard sizes and prices which are also shown at the foot of this page. If you would like a different size or a print on acrylic, please email me for prices.

Prints are sold as soon as payment is received. From that moment they are no longer available for anyone else to purchase. If you are interested in buying a print but not at the standard sizes, you can reserve this print by making a payment at the lowest level, i.e. 15. Once you have discussed your requirements with me, you can then make the additional payment and I will then process your order. This can avoid the disappointment of losing out if discussions take time. In the event of you deciding not to proceed, the 15 you have paid will be refunded to you.

After working really hard for over eight months, I took a trip acroos to Rottnest Island, about 10 miles off the coast from Fremantle. There are no cars on the island which is only nineteen square miles in area. Visitors can take a ferry there but many bring their own boats and anchor in the beautiful blue waters.

The River Swan, which runs through Perth, is beautiful and young, healthy Australian kids cannot resist jumping off rocks into the water. In 1986-87 Fremantle hosted the America's Cup after Australia, and Alan Bond, had beaten the Americans in 1983 thereby ending a 132 year domination of the event by the Americans. A brand new harbour, the Challenger Harbour, was built and the existing Fishing Boat Harbour extensively modernised.
